Doctors from Fortis Hospital Kalyan hosted detailed discussions to educate and drive awareness about common neurological, cardiovascular, and orthopedic conditions. The session was helmed by Fortis Hospital Kalyan’s Dr Zakia Khan (Senior Consultant-Interventional Cardiology), Dr Swapnil Keny (Consultant-Orthopedics), Dr Jayesh Sardhara (Senior Consultant - Neuro & Spine Surgery) and Dr Rushabh Chheda (Associate Consultant-Neuro Surgery). Also in attendance at the event was Hon. Dr Indurani Jakhar, Commissioner, Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC).

Talking about the session, Dr Indurani Jakhar, said, “We sincerely thank Fortis Hospital Kalyan for taking the initiative to educate senior citizens on important aspects of their neurological, cardiovascular, and orthopedic health. Through this session the audience learned of preventative measures including lifestyle changes and early warning signs, which could help them have better health outcomes and reduce the risk of serious complications in the future.”

Reflecting on the session, Dr Zakia Khan said, “We at Fortis recognize the unique health challenges that senior citizens have to navigate. The advent of technology has led to information overload, and as more and more individuals seek opinions on their health online, it can get overwhelming.
