Fortis Hospitals in Mumbai to spread awareness on timely detection and prevention of Cancer on World Cancer Day
On occasion of the World Cancer Day, S L Raheja Fortis Hospital in Mahim has announced the launch of a screening camp to fight cancer among women. The screening camp, which will continue till the Women’s Day (March 8, 2016), will include mammography and apnea tests. Identifying cancer in early stage significantly improves chances of survival.
The doctors at S L Rajeja Fortis Hospital emphasize that it is important to understand Cancer, the key symptoms and early warning signs, facts and trends and ways to prevent some types of cancers. The Hospital firmly believes that the public at large needs to know more about incidence of cancers so that they are equipped with the knowledge to battle it and adopt healthier lifestyle approaches to emerge victorious.
