On ‘International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction’, Navi Mumbai Police host a mock drill at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi
Navi Mumbai, October 13th, 2021: Navi Mumbai Police on Wednesday conducted a disaster and risk reduction mock drill at Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi, to showcase their preparedness levels to successfully manage any disaster situation. The drill was organized on the occasion of International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, October 13, 2021; more than 200 trained personnel took part in the mock drill.
The team consisted of Mr Satish Patil, Assistant Police Inspector, Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS), Mr Mansingh Double, Assistant Police Inspector - Quick Response Teams (QTS), Mr. Kunal Vartak, Police Constable - Bomb Detection & Disposal Squad (BDDS), Mr Ramesh Chavan, Sr. Police Inspector - Vashi Police Station, Mr. Ramchandra Chaudhary, Assistant Station Officer - Fire Office Vashi and Mr Nitin Kamaria, Facility Director - Fortis Hiranandani Hospital along with their team were present to lead and conduct the mock drill.
“The drill was aimed at strengthening the existing safety system, spreading awareness and preparing hospital staff members on ways to effectively manage emergency situations” said, Mr. Nitin Kamaria, Facility Director, Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi. He added, “As a large healthcare institution, it is our duty to safeguard our patients and their relatives, therefore learning about effective ways to handle disasters and being prepared for such circumstances is extremely crucial. We are grateful to Anti-Terrorist squad (ATS), Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Quick Response Teams (QTS) and Vashi Police for providing us with this training”.
